    • What is a widget demonstrating Findings?

      In GlobalLab, a widget is a unique, automated way to process and visualize a project’s data (information participants have submitted to the Report Form). It is one of GlobalLab’s innovative features. Currently we provide you four types of widgets:

      • Map
      • Gallery
      • Charts
      • Report Forms in a list

      Report Forms list widget is placed on the Findings page automatically, while other widgets are chosen and customized by author if necessary.

    • What kinds of widgets does GlobalLab use to present findings?

      Seven types of widgets are utilized to represent findings:

      • Map - Findings are displayed on the GlobalLab world map by geolocation.
      • Gallery - Images supplied by participants are displayed on a specific page where you can easily sort and view them.
      • Charts - You can use a variety of charts to display and explore data.
      • Venn diagram - Participants’ answers are represented as sets of data (up to 4) and displayed as circles with areas of overlap.
      • Texts - A list of stories and essays submitted by participants for the Short Answer and Longer Text types of questions.
      • Word cloud - Participants’ answers are combined into a word cloud which graphically represents replies frequency.
      • Report Forms - All Report Forms submitted by project participants are presented in one list.

      Depending on a widget, the data can be sort and/or filtered by date, location, usernames, etc.

    • How do I see results on the map?

      In the project’s menu on the left of the page, click on the Findings and you can examine the results of an investigation. You will see map(s) presenting the data submitted for this project. At the bottom of each map there is a Customize the map view button. Click on it to change the settings: the results may be grouped or sorted on the basis of layers (if a project uses layers), dates of observations, or geographical location.

    • How do I customize the gallery view?

      In the project’s menu on the left of the page, click on the Findings and you can examine the results of an investigation. If a project’s findings contain images, you should find the Gallery widget on the project’s Findings page. To change the settings for viewing the findings, click on the Customize the gallery view button located under the part of the screen displaying the photos. Click on it to change the settings: the results may be grouped or sorted by author, by date, by latitude, by longitude, by location.

    • How do I customize charts?

      In the project’s menu on the left of the page, click on the Findings and you can examine the results of an investigation. Look for the Customize the chart view button under the chart widget. You can select a question (whose answer can be presented as a graph), distribute the results along the X or Y axes, choose the chart type, filter the data according to date or geographical location, and pick the palette color for the charts.

    • What is the list of Report Forms widget look like?

      In the project’s menu on the left of the page, click on the Findings and you can examine the results of an investigation. On the bottom of this page, below all results widgets used by the author there is a Report Forms list. This widget allows demonstrate results of all participants of this project, sort and filter them by username, by date, by likes, by latitude and by longitude (as in the gallery and charts). This widget is placed on the Findings page automatically.

    • How do I customize Report Forms list?

      Report Forms list widget is placed on the Findings page automatically.

      In the project’s menu on the left of the page, click on the Findings and you can examine the results of an investigation. On the bottom of this page, below all results widgets used by the author there is a Report Forms list. Look for the Sort and filter button under the chart widget. This widget allows demonstrate results of all participants of this project, sort and filter them by username, by date, by likes, by latitude and by longitude (as in the gallery and charts).

    • Who can export results as CSV-file?

      Participants with extended plans (GlobalLab Advanced or GlobalLab Pro) can export results of any project as CSV-file

    • How can one export project results as CSV-file?

      To export results as CSV-file:

      1. Go to the project you want to download;

      2. Go to the Findings page of this project;

      3. Under the Report Form button you’ll see Export findings in CSV button; click on this button and save file on your computer.
