Source of the tale Indicate the source where you found your chosen tale. Include the name of the book, with the date and publisher information, or the name of the website on which you found this tale.
Author of the tale If it is an author’s tale, write the author's full name here, beginning with the family name. Note: if while typing a name you see your author’s name in the list of suggestions, choose it from the list of suggested authors.

Tale of folk origin From which nation or culture did this tale originate? Be as specific as possible. Remember that some small ethnic groups have their own tales (ie. Spanish Gypsies, Polish Jews, etc.).

Fairy tale, everyday tale, or tale about animals? To which category does the tale belong? In order to answer the question correctly, refer back to the description of the tale types in the Information section.
Read several tales and choose the one you want to analyze.
Determine which nation/culture or author created this tale and, if attributed to a specific author, note where that author lived. Use the preface of the book for the information or search the Internet (be sure to use credible sources).
Determine in which category of tale the chosen story belongs. Information about the categories of tale can be found in the Information section of this project.
Answer the questions in the Report Form. Please note that you will need to include the text of the tale for one of these questions. If the text is too big and difficult to be read in a short time you can simply summarize or condense the story. Make sure you give source information and credit where it is due so that you avoid copyright violations*.
Read the tales of other participants. Compare the tales and their main characters. Read and comment on posts in the project’s blog. Take part in discussions. *Copyright laws are different in different countries. Make sure you are not in conflict with your country’s regulations.
